The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 西部片只要说比利小子，就像是武术片讲黄飞鸿一样，这是热评的大神说的，一了解。这个改编90几次的故事原型，在本片，是个老套的枭雄迟暮的故事，终究尘归尘土归土，其子踏上新的一轮生活。
在不同的推荐中见过此片，拉高了期待，结果一看水平很一般。前面冗长沉闷，枪战短暂而且不激烈，很快就搞定了。最后农夫与蛇也没有丝毫意外。
就是不知不觉看完了，一个半小时，说明逻辑没问题，节奏紧凑。挺喜欢主人公的性格，隐忍克制，但是就像好汉歌一样，该出手时就出手。

看了半部才发现男主是《巴斯特·斯克鲁格斯的歌谣》里那个嚣张的小个枪手。比利小子传奇落幕，可惜儿子演技不在线，一身奶气，和粗旷的西部格格不入。
喜欢西部片这个类型。同样，也喜欢武侠片这个类型。《老亨利》是正宗的西部片味道，但又不让人觉得老套、陈旧，视觉语言上是有新的表现的。那么，武侠片还能拍出新意吗？我觉得是可以的，但必须脱离金庸、古龙的故事模式，毕竟，古代中国的想象空间还是很大的。
蛮荒的西部故事。从始至终，所有的动作处理都很朴实，没有什么过多的花哨耍帅。甚至结尾的枪战戏也被处理得有些潦草寒酸了。不过，还算是部合格的西部片。三星半
对西部的粗粝生活还原的很好，给了西部传奇人物一个归隐侠客式的结局，只是故事太过简单了
