The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 整体来说不如我和我的祖国好。
虽然是按时间顺序展开的四个故事，但是风格迥异得实在衔接不上。反而最喜欢章子怡导的「诗」，六七十年代滤镜下的小家庭故事最能打动我。徐峥的其次，沈腾最烂。
徐峥的故事有趣，章子怡的故事感人，沈腾前半段搞笑，可惜后半段生硬仓促。
三部曲里最套路的一部。唯二的亮点就是王菲的片尾曲和《诗》中的那首诗。鸭先知的故事比较接地气，还算有趣。把无数父辈抽象出了最特别的那一代，并不能让大众产生足够共鸣。从这个角度来说，父辈天生比不过家乡和祖国。
《诗》：章子怡有《一代宗师》的感觉，后面升华部分多余。
后三个故事里都是小孩儿，所以都需要用他们的同学对他们的霸凌来展现「父辈」的欲扬先抑吗？？？

虽然偶有笑点，但最差这个故事，十分难看。

宁浩的北京，徐峥的上海，还有最温情的少年行，有点烂尾🥲
乘风，吴京一如既往的用力过猛；诗，章子怡让人眼前一亮，通篇眼含热泪，致敬我们的父辈，他们不为人知的奋斗过、燃烧过、热爱过；一个父与子精忠报国视死如归，一个两代人默默奋斗甘作中国航天奠基石，关于中国第一支广告片的鸭先知显然接不住这么厚重的前戏，徐峥稍显平庸且和前两个故事形成明显的撕裂感；本来沈腾马丽有望一锤定音，可是少年行却意外翻车，这次的压轴戏比我和我的家乡中相差甚远，包袱抖不响立意空洞乏味，全程尴尬不断直接拉低了整片水准。
