The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 有点低配版血溅十三号警署的意思，或者看男主应该叫警局陷落，各种杀手罪犯斗智斗勇，女主挨一枪坐那吃现成最后生还还要恩将仇报的故事
骗子到最后不守承诺（知道家人死了怪罪他人），杀手是个硬汉杀手，神经病杀手真是神经病，这三个角色比较出彩。女警神乎其神有点过，警察都是笨蛋。
喜欢这种密室型剧情，虽然有漏洞，不过当做无脑爽片也可以了，就是很多没交代的，结尾也让人有不同猜想，不知道还有没有第二部，伪开放式结局！
就算没有列宁和希特勒，也是真难看。只有那段拉斯普丁跳舞打斗还勉强像是王牌特工的风格。
及格线，只有枪战，一群大叔带一个黑人小妞。

全程无尿点，很另类的动作片，尤其每个角色的性格塑造太强烈了
假，整个警察局都是不靠谱，没有危机意识的人吗？对待危险反应还不如普通人。

有原则的杀手，比无底线的掮客更值得信赖！所以要学会看人，而且要看准人。
两个主演脸熟，好像是带新人的片子。。。拍摄手法不错，故事和剧情烂
很不错的故事啊，气球杀手是亮点，而杰拉德最后的出场一点也不意外。
WTF？！Matthew Vaughn是真够腐的，在下呸服！！
如果不是瓦莱丽太黑和这个结局，我还是会打四星的。不是纯粹的枪战片，重点在于几个人的对话很哟意思，安东尼绝对是个亮点，风趣幽默应该算得上吧，开始出手干净利落，后面对主角出手有点拖沓，但总不能把主角干掉吧，“你是警察所以你是杀人犯，我是职业杀手所以我只是个工人”，很有道理。维迪克是个老手，手铐只拷一只手肯定难不住他，所以他一点不急。看讨论区很多提问的估计都是快进看的，其实再看一遍也不错，6分低了，至少可以上7分。
前期太拖，看似有悬念实际没有，一个半小时都嫌长。
喜歡這類一夜殺戮的電影，很緊湊。劇情緊張刺激。最後二十分鐘破功了，很俗套
