The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 反转出乎意料却也合情合理。种姓、女性权益、放纵的公权力、操纵媒体……说教味有点重，但问题一直不解决只好一直说下去，至少还能说，但似乎只能说。
最后二十分钟腹泻般的角色关系介绍毁了一切。
一波三折，编剧牛掰！涉及到女权、学术霸凌、种姓、警察、政治选举都多个话题。
暴露出的险恶
看了不到两个小时就决定了，满分，振聋发聩。
就是上海女人不知道皂基和氨基酸的洗面奶有点扯。
宿敌 印度电影就是你能够明显的感觉到他在推情绪，而且他就是要把这个情感用音乐画面推到最满。
小布尔乔亚精致糖水片，有些地方过于精致了，比如路边的补鞋匠也有自己的coffee time。难得在国产电影里看到中产视角下的中年情爱，他们的爱情都是小联合国，他们的艺术都是现当代艺术，他们的电影都是费里尼起步，也只有上海才有这个地域土壤了。拍的很好，像是看舞台小品，但始终无法代入。
最后轮流涂护手霜的场景像不像疫情期间轮流涂消毒液的我们？「什么乳化不乳化的，不要乳化」
也没多复杂的剧情 东绕西绕扯了将近三个小时 实在有点受不了。
外滩18号，两个大相径庭的女宁面面相觑，恭候这个自以为老懂女宁额上海囡宁多时——用轻松幽默、四两拨千斤的调性论述两性关系的争议主题，颇有看点。缺点是插曲多，有滴乌苏。
