The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 没啥特别的，看的间隙顺便见缝插针看完了一本漫画
其实和原著没什么大关系了，只是借用“象棋”的壳、以相当平庸的交叉叙事来完成一个二战故事，减去大量内心戏的表现一方面是原文较难以影像呈现，另一方面也是为了凸显情节的戏剧性——然而正是这一点有悖于茨威格式精神探索；剥夺精神世界较之于肉身禁锢更让人发疯，自由比生命更可贵，奥德赛之旅的意义。
原著中没有妻子这个人物设定，茨威格身为犹太人，一生饱尝精神迫害和流离失所。
虽然水准一般，但是里面因电影相聚，因电影重逢，因电影而关联还是让人挺动情的。
感觉很破碎很割裂，但如果可以在电影中死去吧。

美好往往存在于回忆之中是有原因的，我无法接受年轻时一个十分优秀有天赋的人，老了却成为一个无赖、酗酒赌博、欠债让妻女来还。这部电影用两个小时的时间，成功让苏打刚在我心中建立起没多久的形象就此幻灭了。
神明存在于电影的每一帧之间，也存在于每一个热爱电影的人心中。
知道会是一些俗气的桥段，但还是忍不住泪目了。电影真好哇，比现实好。

不存在的船与象棋人生，
沒看過日本影史，不看「東京物語」，不知小津安二郎為何物的人，怎能懂這部電影？只能說豆瓣裡的噴子實在是貽笑大方之極……
电影本身3星。茨威格，还有电影的营造，加1星鼓励。看过原著，电影有故弄玄虚的感觉，不如小说精彩。
青年组的表演略尬，老年组全然一副舞台感，故事在文艺和世俗间反复横跳…
只能选一种方式后悔。喜欢年轻时在片场的戏。
以为会很多象棋场面，但更着重身心遭受折磨的过程，后面真真假假，也挺好的。
7分。闪回和幻觉的流畅转场，对人物心理刻画和情绪渲染起到很大作用。纳粹傀儡国中产律政人士，酒池肉林的奢靡生活也要被时代肆意碾压摧毁，谁也难逃被随意践踏和禁锢的厄运，覆巢之下无完卵，结局很唏嘘。
