Wealthy Rollo Treadway (Buster Keaton) suddenly decides to propose to his neighbor across the street, Betsy O'Brien (Kathryn McGuire), and sends his servant to book passage for a honeymoon sea cruise to Honolulu. When Betsy rejects his sudden offer however, he decides to go on the trip anyway, boarding without delay that night. Because the pier number is partially covered, he ends up on the wrong ship, the Navigator, which Betsy's rich father (Frederick Vroom) has just sold to a small country at war.
Agents for the other small nation in the conflict decide to set the ship adrift that same night. When Betsy's father checks up on the ship, he is captured and tied up by the saboteurs. Betsy hears his cry for help and boards the ship to look for him, just before it is cut loose.
The Navigator drifts out into the Pacific Ocean. The two unwitting passengers eventually find each other. At first, they have great difficulty looking after themselves, but adapt after a few weeks. At one point, they sight a navy ship and hoist a brightly-colored flag, not realizing it signals that the ship is under quarantine. As a result, the other vessel turns away.
Finally, the ship grounds itself near an inhabited tropical island and springs a leak. While Rollo dons a deep sea diving suit and submerges to patch the hole, the black natives canoe out and take Betsy captive. When Rollo emerges from the ocean, the natives are scared off, enabling him to rescue Betsy and take her back to the ship. The natives return and try to board the ship. After a fierce struggle, Rollo and Betsy try to escape in a small dinghy. It starts to sink, and the natives swiftly overtake them in their canoes. Just when all seems lost, a navy submarine surfaces right underneath them and they are saved.

看到最后哭了，如果可以，我想打六🌟。最后双方都得到了救赎，印象深刻的一句话，you are not buying for fact, you are buying for fantasy,另外，男主真的是温柔的一个人啊
一个没有过性高潮的女性是不完整的，这和“一个没有生过孩子的女性是不完整的”这种逻辑有什么两样。
一把年纪是不是差点白活了
非常有趣的选题，像一个都市童话。我们亚洲人日常以为欧美人自由开放，实际上世界女性大同，大家都有自己的年代痕迹和被女性身份束缚的门槛，并不能像男性那样随心所欲。南希那种渴望打破常规又局促不安的心理表现得太好了。里奥很有魅力，令人舒适，但是对比现实生活就显得有点乌托邦。取悦自己、与自己和解是女性毕生的课题。
很长一段时间内，我不仅从不会在镜中直视自己的身体，也不敢在影视中正视演员们老去的身体。哪怕是现在，我不再害怕老去但依然对自己的身体抱有微妙的感觉。啊...这该死的自我厌恶感...
有关自我愉悦接受和解, 欲更多的是desire 本身. Leo给我一种很强的non-binary vibe，相比于sexual attraction, 我更欣赏Leo的body beauty, 所以大量的对话让我觉得这是therapy session, 可能主创也是想借此表达Leo的专业性（话说回来我也想试试这样的therapy），所以会有一种太保守没什么惊喜的“不够劲儿”。唯一的惊喜点可能是雨声和身体摩挲的声音，3.5。
正视一切，也悦纳经历，开始舞蹈
快五十年前，《让娜·迪尔曼》在对女性的生活、也是身体的封闭凝视里，以最后迪尔曼刺向男客的爆发姿态冲破、拒绝所有看客目光的欲望投射。如今女权主义发展到这部电影里，也有了“反客为主”的类似一幕——南希一边masturbate一边凝视里奥的身体以抵达高潮，最后她赤裸入镜，定格住了属于女性的主体性权力。南希和里奥的四次会面，每一次都在双方愿意向对方倾吐内心后，他们身体的亲疏关系才得以进入新阶段。不仅是女性的，是关乎所有性别的身体解放。电影将所有表达目的都特意摊开在清晰的舞台剧结构和对话台词里，赤裸得几近propaganda film。
看完1995年的“Carrington”之后再看这个，Emma Thompson真是太棒了
非常喜欢前两次会面，女性非常需要解放被禁锢的欲望，放下对快乐的羞耻感和对自身的不自信。后两次的说教感略重。
个人觉得是个相当相当不错的谈话片。埃玛姨依旧无所畏惧！棒！
倒是想起之前和ex睡前睡后并肩坐在床上的对话，那些沮丧的、欢欣的、诚实的、矫饰的、难解的、无法重演的。
I cried because it’s somehow so relatable and empowering for me对我来说比before sunrise更现实、更可能发生、更有意义、更现代的两性关系展示，一种随着成年愈发充斥我的孤独与羞耻的reflection，this is not and cannot be the solution to my problems but I’m so grateful that a movie like this can be made
当然，前面评价的是演员，后面我想说——我很高兴在我年轻的时候认识这部电影。Thanks，IT really teaches me a lot....
向学生坦白对方性工作者身份，承认自己买春。sex后自慰中获得高潮，站在镜子前看着自己的裸体与自己“和解”，结局披着互相救赎的温馨外衣，并不能消除她的刻板固执偏见的。
单一地点+老戏骨的组合很难不让人想到《困在时间里的父亲》，后者在影片技法上还是要更有层次一些，而这部电影的强势就在于每个段落高潮前的那一点铺垫，都恰到好处。
所有人都應該多看幾遍這部作品，性愉悅并不可恥，女性更應該更好地瞭解自己、愛自己。男主說他的夢想是看到維納斯，蘇珊就是啊，下垂的乳房、鬆弛的皮膚、發福的腰圍，最後接納鏡中一絲不挂的自己時，那姿態分明就是煥發著波提切利維納斯光彩的維爾倫多夫的維納斯。
一二次约会的紧张小心翼翼拍的挺动人，但转而三四次约会又落入原生家庭、自我和解的窠臼。主题是accept yourself，accept your body仅仅是几句台词以及结尾一笔带过，要是对accept our body的探讨多一些也许会更喜欢。
