The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 剧本质量不错，表演只能说一般水准吧。换个牛逼导演，这片子应该会更好看。

本来就是场荒唐的审判，大篇幅的法庭戏一点也不枯燥，金句频出，很燃。对萨莎·拜伦·科恩刮目相看，Abbie这个人物和他很像，看似玩世不恭，却活得很清醒。
这是典型的好莱坞年度左翼电影。这几年几乎每年都有这样一部左翼政治理念的电影，例如聚焦、华盛顿邮报。拍摄手法都是纪实冷峻、都是大牌云集，明显不为了票房就冲着各类奖项的政治宣言，像是一个每年必做的功课。

剧本真的赞，好电影就该是多元多视角两方理由让观众觉得都有道理的。看似疯癫的嬉皮士其实聪明克制，循规蹈矩的好学生却是骚乱源头心机深。也就美国有这种庭审，要在某地。。。。
为集会的不自由，为司法的不健全，为体制的不完备，五颗星。

理想和灯塔常有，但成为灯塔的理想不常有。民主和理性常有，但理性的民主不常有。体制和进步常有，但体制的进步不常有。
