During the US Civil War, Union POWs escape in a balloon and end up stranded on a South Pacific island, inhabited by giant plants and animals. In 1865, during the siege of Richmond, Virginia, the union soldiers POW Captain Harding, Neb and Herbert escape in a balloon during a storm with two confederate prisoners, Sergeant Pencroft and the journalist Spilett. The uncontrollable wind takes the balloon to a mysterious island in the South Pacific in the area of New Zealand. Captain Harding self-proclaims the leader of the group and they look for food; sooner they discover that they are stranded in an island. Further, they are attacked by a giant crab that becomes their first meal. Along the days, they build a shelter and finds that the island is inhabited by giant animals. A couple of days later, they find two castaways on the beach, the aristocratic Lady Mary Fairchild and her sexy niece Elena. Later they find a trunk with weapons and instruments like sextant and shelter with a journal of a man left alone in the island by pirates. When the pirate vessel arrives in the island, they are helped by Captain Nemo of the Nautilus, a submarine that had supposedly sunk in the coast of Mexico eight years ago. 每一场事故其实都是整个社会共同作用的结果，但是原生家庭才是始作俑者，整个故事看似有了结局，但实际每个人都没有得到救赎，依旧活在痛苦中
真的还不错，特效、制作这些。甚至里面还玩了些小朋友根本不会懂而一看就是为陪看的家长准备的梗
虽然音乐和镜头非常克制，情感却非常细腻，听到了周围观众的啜泣声。

很典型的日本社会，那种压抑的感觉仿佛要溢出屏幕。电影切入了很多个视角，父亲、肇事司机、学校、便利店老板、新闻媒体、路人……但是每一个点好像都没有讲清楚。唯独没有受害者花音的视角，她的故事只余下一片空白，等着留下的人去勾勒和涂抹。这个故事里最尊重生命的人就是花音的母亲。其他人或多或少都在漠视自己或他人的生命。
一个人的悲剧变成多个人的悲剧，才明白过来，一切都太糟糕了！
简单化。。。现在的日本人根本拍不了社会派的东西，看动漫都看傻了
春节档没有电影能赚到我这种社畜宅的钱，除了熊出没。前排家长的呼噜声翻译过来也是这句话。
题材无新意，又臭又长，小日本这种恭恭敬敬态度毫无代入感，冲突点平淡无火花，内卷还是要看内地才行，可惜不过审；港台来拍的话估计好看很多，小日本真心不适合拍这种题材....
