The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 一个婚礼，一个葬礼。一场电影，一座别墅。new era 仅仅指一位老人死去，一个婴儿出生。时代还停留在两战之间，还没拍到二战呢，所以还可能有续集。作为追完全系列剧集和第一部电影的人，还是先花了半小时才逐一认清脸，并回忆起每张脸的前世今生，理清复杂的人物关系网。然后才欣赏家长里短和精美的英式贵族台词。编剧对唐家屯这一icon群像戏已经驾轻就熟，按部就班，粉丝只要follow就行了。
其实多少有点粉丝大电影的意思，但还是好喜欢

剧中每一幕都是精心设计，精致的服饰，不乏幽默的对话，看着很是赏心悦目。
天花乱坠但毫无重点、不知所云。严格点说连合格的cliché 合集都算不上吧。（尤其老爷身世那条线只想让我大喊“Are you fucking kidding me?”）
