看片名以为会是个决胜21点的故事，实际上还是保罗·施拉德《第一东正会》那种受困过往回忆的主角渴望救赎的路子，所以突破性不太大，赌博在这里不过是暂时逃避痛苦的手段，同时也指代了男主未知的命运，关塔那摩监狱那段的鱼眼变形镜头还挺妙，荒唐与扭曲被呈现了出来，整体还是很克制，有种苦行僧的感觉，伊萨克花白头发造型好评。
