The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 没有铺天盖地的人马乱飞，简单的场景、几个人，确勾勒出控人心弦的战场，紧张、悲愤、感动交织。最后只想说，我爱你，中国！
两军交战，双方却拍得像西部片的决斗一样，还准许背尸体。
干净，凝炼，非常小的切角，抛弃大场面，专注于一场小战斗，有感染力，最有感受的是展现了情感的柔软和生命的脆弱。

赤胆饮歌响山岗，寒雪起舞送英魂。先烈用身躯浇铸成最冷的枪，用五脏打造狙击的子弹，用骨子构筑祖国的山河，用血花捻做必胜的信念指引着回家的路，换吾侪喜乐安康。

没有前戏，直接开干，比较难代入人物，但能在这么小的场景里刻画这么多角色，也挺不容易，应该属于是emo女儿的作品吧。

化繁为简，以小见大。《悬崖之上》用冰雪漫天背景大玩谍战，《狙击手》取冰雪之地大玩三十六计。无需在乎角度多小，战争之苦，而是每个人物都能在极为小的背景里见证苍生之伟。计谋与斗智同样可以在96min中重现，小而伟大。子弹能无限度穿过坦克，战争之歌会响起。但是他们，都用旁白告诉我们了，他们被遗忘。但是不应该被遗忘。国师还是那个国师，毒辣而精准。章宇最佳。
