The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 给三星我真的看着musical 的面子给的，看了现场真的是直击心灵，结果这部片子真的是为了拍而拍，叙事结构就很无语，更别说整个片子的节奏了，我本来拿这部的制作对照的是lalaland，结果算了，根本不是一个档次，只能说你把现场musical 整场录一个4k都好，非要拍一个电影，可惜了这么好的音乐剧，这么好的演员，musical真是好评不断，也拿奖，这电影拍出来我真的无力吐槽。
拍的一般性，只是这取材于真实事件，真让人悲愤，普通人难道就命如草芥么……
泡菜财阀们犯的致命错误依旧无法被撼动！加湿器消毒水洒在不作为公务员的身上可以算是全片最经典场面！
6.9/10 虽然影片的部分段落, 因强力的台词与足够的视觉冲击力, 观看价值得到有效的提升; 虽然故事的部分情节, 因意料之外的数次转折, 阅读趣味得到有效的保障。 然而对于角色设定的浪费, 对于实话加工的敷衍, 在依照类型公式按部就班的制作方式下, 不仅使影片拥有了与同类型的高重合度, 也一定程度上毁损了影片的质量。
三星半，太久没看过这种题材了，棒子国还是很敢。
电影本身当然很一般，剧本表演都有不同问题，但看到最后也不会觉得浪费了2个小时，因为电影是另一种形式的记录。那个说自己是英国国籍所以不在乎死几个韩国人的韩国人，那些直到最后都不觉得自己有错的政府部门负责人，呵呵。要记录。要记住。

中规中矩，听过很多up解说过这件事，艺术加工过的内容自然没有事实具有冲击力。

相比音乐剧版，影版删去了很多与父母之间的剧情，以及特别喜欢的disappear这首歌，所以会觉得平淡很多。但我永远爱DEH💙
这么好的题材，怎么就被拍得那么普普通通...
反转没什么必要，可以一直黑下去的，不过真的有被最后那个航拍镜头震撼到。咱们还是拍不出来的嘻嘻。
很韩国的灾难片了，不过灾难也就是空气净化器产品有毒只是个引子，引出来的是政府企业的官官相护和官商勾结，他们在酒绿灯红的时候，牺牲的都是老百姓。几段高潮的戏份感觉不是很到位，没体现出剧情和人物的反转，结局时候法庭上几个部门之间相互踢皮球最后来个总结陈词一起去吃个饭还挺精彩，与其说精彩倒不如说写实
真实事件改编就足以震撼。最后10分钟，几方责任人都来却都像踢皮球一样把责任踢来踢去，真是有够讽刺。看着男主最后拿着杀菌剂洒向监管部门，好像压抑着自己的那团无名火也得到了发泄。
