推理题材看似与蜡笔小新格格不入，没想到成品大大超出预期。在兼顾系列招牌的无厘头风格下，通过大量误导设置将悬念一直维持到了最后一刻。每条为增加嫌疑人而出现的角色支线都有用心处理与收尾，并最终汇聚在马拉松高潮点燃热血。立意，情感，故事各方面都无懈可击，为这个剧场版系列沉浮十多年终于又出一部佳作而感到高兴。
