The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 也许如今再看小黄人已经没有小时候那种兴奋感了，甚至会觉得有些幼稚。但当他们出现在银幕上时，就仿佛在召唤着我，再做一场童年的梦吧。

卖萌加搞笑，确实很有一套。只不过感觉电影当中很多的中国元素使得这部电影更适合在春节或者新年的时候观看。

从中文主题曲开始就奠定了本作浓郁的贺岁风格。故事实际上只是补足了一些正传的内容，剧情相对独立，甚至不看前作也能流畅观看。主要讲述了格鲁与罪恶六人组的故事，是一部极其适合过年期间在国内上映的影片。
