The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 孤寡老人探索生命归宿的公路之旅。比较平静的一部戏，讲述了人到晚年的女主，却失去家和伴侣，被迫以车为家独自流浪。感觉和香港的《浊水漂流》有些异曲同工之妙，同样是边缘阶层的“游牧族”，在无依无靠中熬着人生最后的时光，背负生存的尊严，思考着生命的归宿到底何去何从。

随便拿张地图看看吧：一块区域的地理范围是面，是广延的；地理建筑或地标则是由点构成，是紧缩的锚。路呢？它们只是“线”。
人有多种活法，选择自己喜欢的方式就好。别人能不能理解你的孤独，不重要。
居无定所、安居乐业、游牧民、西部开拓者……从美国传统来看，有些灵魂是注定“被流浪”的。当一类矛盾与民族性紧密关联时，它的化解本身就是矛盾了。

像纪录片一般，跟随着科恩嫂试着去理解这些现代游牧民族。不要试图用理性去解构他们的动机，选择游牧本身就充满了浪漫。大自然和同胞的友情是对伤痛最好的治愈。
