The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. A bottom-up approach to paint the conflict. In broad strokes, the story shows the things that matter to people: their relationship with neighbors, moral integrity, the class/financial struggle, romance untainted by arbitrary divisions. Peeling away structural intellectualizations, we're left with tender feelings for those who made difficult choices.
分了几次看完，受限于过于地缘化的时代背景，完全同kb共情诚然是不太可能，但结尾处关于流亡和放逐的阐释，在这个特殊的疫情时期，反而与现实达成了一种跨时空的呼应。btw，虽然立意对标罗马，kb也有意在视听方面大做文章，但画面质感还是太类型片。

几首歌真是好听，几处黑白彩色转换也很有意思，也喜欢结尾的Go. Go now. Don't look back。故事虽然跨越很多年，但对当年宗教冲突失业暴乱并没有描述清楚，既缺乏《美国往事》的宏大史诗感和时间沧桑感，也缺乏从男主孩童视角窥视历史事件的亲身经历深入感。
多好的一部片子。我喜欢这小朋友的视角，更喜欢老爷子诠释世界的方法
Someone stayed, someone left, someone were lost…
除了設計感，似乎也怪過多的設計感，讓這個故事始終行走於內心之外，欠缺更多的感染力。

布拉纳用一种最自以为是的方式去复古，拍出了超低配的《罗马》
导演的童年自传故事，能看得出来对故乡的怀念与依恋之情，但整体的故事还是过于平淡，中间叙述点太多了，有点杂乱，并没有抓住中心来讲，复杂化了，比起相同类型的「罗马」来说还是差点火候。
《Belfast》导演肯尼思用上好一些特写镜头，很有意思，也是他对北爱尔兰家乡贝尔法斯特的表达！只是他运用了很多拍摄技巧，似乎更像炫技！特别是充满记忆点的那许多的仰视镜头。
属于那种没有多大野心，只是轻巧的讲述一场特定历史背景下的无奈离乡的小片。没有过度渲染悲伤和离别，欢乐生活还是占主调。片尾的音乐和歌声终于对了味儿，巴士离开街角后还是会让人陷入失落。
漂浮的情感，Too much songs。donan的男配Buzz我不懂。
结尾有些匠气与不够自然，摄影和配乐都很好。即使是不了解的历史事件，里面对于童年的怀念，对于父母的依赖，以及祖父祖母的智慧慈爱与牺牲，是共通的。人生总要面对别离的。
最后居然还“献给留在故乡的人”“也献给外出的游子”“以及迷失了自己的人”，这是拍电影，不是写散文诗！
英国的《八月》，喜欢里面的构图和摄影，配乐好听但太频繁，居然提名导演奖，令人费解。
幸也不幸世界是不会如数学题一样只有一个标准答案的
