The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 昨天看完了干股拜的故事，豆瓣的评分相当中肯，确实不能算是一部好电影，但比国内大多数的电影和立意还要好些，国内的电影现在真的丝毫也拿不出了，花了更多的钱拍了更烂的电影，文化正在退化，这很可悲。
在知乎懂哥和女权斗士间反复横跳，能看见变成一部佳片的可能性，可是最终还是深陷在了自己自身价值观的局限里，在喊出妓女让其他女性免于被强奸后失去了所有弧光，变成了一种中年男性自以为是的叫嚣，可偏偏最令人不适的是，ta还披着一张这一切最大受害者的皮
老美可以拍兄弟连，我们也可以拍我们的英雄七连！！
2.5 略优于前作，主要得来于不同导演割裂感的大大消失，个别角色牺牲前的刻画富有感染力
除此之外，女主是真魅惑人，并且演技真不错。
当做历史题材的电影来看，还是很好看，很振奋人心的，各种细节拍的还是很好的。

除了最后那次爆炸有些假，其他还好，打斗场面很足，射击状态真实。

但服道设计，摄影都代表了印度宝莱坞的一定水准，可以看。
不是套拍，是本来就是一部，只不过碍于长度拆成了《长津湖》和《水门桥》，这样的宣发很高明，不会让人从心理上觉得这是一部电影的上下部，有更大的吸引力走进影院看“新电影《水门桥》，只要片子质量过硬，这个操作没任何问题。最后多插一句，易烊千玺是不是抓住了于冬的把柄？
非常玛丽苏爽文，三言两语就能说服黑帮老大和总理。女主的成功虽然说主要靠她强大的内心和智慧的头脑，但是很多时候还是靠男人才渡过难关。
故事毕竟跨越了十余载 电影难以将其一一表现。因此很多转变都略显声音 女主似乎是一瞬间就强大了起来 发言有人认同 从富二代到妓女到老板到区长到女权倡导者 一切都有点过于顺利。
2.黑帮老大为什么一直好心的帮女主，一段关系里面不能一味的索取，这个电影在宣传女权主义，但是电影里面女主遭受的挫折几乎全是男人解决，电影本身就很矛盾。
咱也不能一直黑，至少在无语了两个小时后，从结尾美军撤退终于看进去了。以目前国产片观影习惯，不是说只要结尾加字幕感动到了就算好电影吗（手动狗头），剧本配乐摄影演员细节这些是什么啊，我不是很关心呢
中国人民之意志冠绝世界，中国军人之意志古今少有。
要先看长津湖，再看这一部，否则无法理解人物塑造…
就个别地方是满扯的.，但是也有个别片段有特别戳人。就发牌那一段，就很戳。
牺牲了爱情
1.男性凝视下，妇女解放者也要维持美、吸引力，并通过这些吸引男人的帮助，大幅弱化她思想和理想的力量。2.强调现存人群的权利，而不反对更多女性被卖，没有争取，没有概念，可以说只是做了男人允许的女性权力罢了。可以忽视这一群体的痛苦，粉饰太平，失权、健康迫害都草草带过。3.除了女主没有出彩和杰出的女人，宁可塑造人妖也不愿意分笔墨给其他女性。
