The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 虽是改编，实则却是大卫·洛维将自己前两部长片中的某些母题糅合而成，暂且可以理解为「骑士和斧头的鬼魅浮生」，必要与否先放在一边，他电影里所有的古怪元素似乎都能从前作中找到合理化解释。

都是名角，相比于晦涩的故事，这部电影的视听倒是实打实的好～

电影故事取材于中世纪传奇《高文爵士与绿衣骑士》，没有依原著表现骑士英勇的史诗，而是反其道而行之，展现高文爵士面对种种魔幻挑战时的羸弱与不堪，最终呈现出被迫成长的故事，似乎兼带对自然保护的思考？
实在是喜欢不起来chapter类的叙事方式，片子本身对chapter和title card的运用让我感觉是减分的。故事里的时间概念仿佛笑话，并不能让我觉得是导演高超的操控，更像是失重的类比，突然拉长或者压缩，到最后更是十分钟的回顾前世今生。稍微有点失望
除了美工，其他没看出啥好的。色调过暗，看的难受，节奏拖沓，乏善可陈。
措不及防的主旋律电影，还升华到有色人种问题～
看封面还一位是恐怖片。剧情看不进去，不过摄影不错。
有诡秘的诗意感 但演员都不够charismatic 无法让我沉浸其中
概念，美术，摄影，配乐都是一流的
确实漂亮我也确实跟这些史诗故事有隔阂……盯着看也不是说看不懂，但实在是沉闷
3.5。在濃重的悼亡情緒之下，電影其實早已形神皆散，徒留下前後照應的戲劇結構和厚重手法續著最後一絲精氣神。

重点在路上，让我想起中国的古代神话故事，第一个想到的是《倩女幽魂》，都是考验。
叙事够简单，2.5吧，整体是两头不讨好的作品。局部表达可以看出Lowery的作者性很羸弱，而投身产业条线后，反倒让人误以为是文艺大导被商业制作禁锢住表达一般。与其说是惋惜，不如说是心疼，一个有文艺梦但拍不出水平的尴尬导演。
