The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 那么问题来了，为什么豆瓣演员条目里没有黑人演员和导演？
和《盛夏未来》有一定共通性，都是介由男同性恋还在挣扎身份认同或者情感认同的视角，真正去完成的反而是另一个少女的成长弧光。虽然它整体都要做得更虚幻也太美好，比起站在学校礼堂公开演讲撑同志这种白日梦一般的剧情，电影里拍出异性恋对同性恋态度最准确、真实的地方，应该是男主跳楼之后的那堂讨论课，当他不在场的时候，所有人都可以重新假装云淡风轻、毫不在乎，但前提必须是，他不在场。
有些自由不是born to have的 看完有点sad…
总之，这部还挺现实的，，同性恋并不是单纯的幻想中的bl和百合这样，，
还有那个出现的老妈妈，也不知所以
作为“革命者”，这几个人太过温和了
“自由的代价是什么?”
代入感很强，很刺激万万没想到的是那结局还以为会抵挡第二波攻坚，结果自己走出去了
前半段都很好，快到结尾司法部长女儿和混血女子的真情流露过于俗套了。
总之，这部还挺现实的，，同性恋并不是单纯的幻想中的bl和百合这样，，
只能说一句，导演牛X~~~自由的代价大到超乎你的想象

从官方视角中的恐怖分子的视角拍的片子比较有特色，而且是种族隔离时期的理想主义者，革命者，热血青年，他们不怕死，但要自由。
