The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 剧情没细看，不过整体下来是鬼片的味道
我还是非常疑惑，埃菲尔铁塔我听说的版本是埃菲尔为了悼念亡妻建的，为什么变成禁忌婚外情了，开头还写了根据真实故事改编，差点就信了，毕竟法国人拍的，还以为万一他们知道的才是真实版本，看来是我想多了。对剧情狠狠无语，但却被刚建成的红色铁塔感动到，这个冰冷的钢铁架子充满了建筑师的热情和信念，才是真正的浪漫吧。
埃菲尔铁塔，讲了20分钟的塔，120分钟古斯塔夫埃菲尔爱情故事，感情戏看得我好尴尬，他们抠床单，我用脚趾抠出一座铁塔。（1.5，多出来0.5给温柔的女儿，爱了爱了）
藤原龙也标配的“游戏电影”(日本大众主流娱乐电影)，问题在于，创作者不想要作品太过游戏化，拉过通俗情节剧作情感垫底，但这种情感又没有普遍性，仍然是游戏化的一环，无法感染人，(正例如 你的名字 的爱情)，于是就成了自我表演，就还是一部“纯游戏电影”，那么此时的问题就来了，事件的呈现手法又是纯现实系慢热型的，即本身是非游戏性的，造成的效果只能是冗长和啰嗦的，削弱了游戏性(当然也可以说是故意对同类作品的一种反抗)，又承载不起情感功能(反抗不成功)，鸡肋的处理，最后两头不讨好，只剩失败。若不是为了藤原龙也的软痞气质，这片没法看的。越想越气，拍的稀烂，改成一星。

一般般，想玩的要素太多了就显得很凌乱，还是昆池岩恐怖
韩国恐怖片质量一年不如一年，法术穿越，输出靠吼，鬼格分裂，致敬闪灵，一惊一乍，故弄玄虚。法术版昆池岩，全靠金康宇演技硬撑了90分钟。
开头有点无聊，中间开始有点意思了，但总体还是属于拼接体，没什么惊喜，结尾还可以
筑进水泥墙需要莫大的勇气来面对这一切～又能发展成昆池岩那样的旅游景点了。

5.5 本片以"埃菲尔"一词的两种定义, 试图令故事更为丰富饱满。 然而叙事却在爱情与事业中徘徊不定, 未能确定主次的同时, 也让故事缺乏重点。 最终这部影片仅于复原史实方面提供些许价值, 影片自身近乎乏善可陈。
