The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 这部电影就别带脑子看，开头看半个小时，中间一个小时就是一辆救护车在路上狂奔，然后整座城所有的警车加上直升机也奈何不了它，这一个小时你定个闹钟睡一觉，然后结尾半小时醒过来看看这个荒唐的故事怎么收场就行了。
在政治正确领导下的爆炸贝名不虚传，穿梭机拍摄动作场面好刺激
除了某场戏和结尾之外，还真挺刺激的。把音量发大，跟随飞舞的镜头，听几首金曲，实在不能更棒。
好久没在电影院看这种无脑动作片了还是挺不错的，晕车人慎看摇晃镜头+90%车戏真的晃吐了，比较好的是女主人设不单薄戏份不花瓶，艾莎大美女简直太适合这种刚柔并济的坚强职业女性了
130多分钟从头紧张到尾，但几乎所有的悬疑与紧张感都是由卖拷贝的调度和快速剪辑提供的，剧本细品的话其实很平，缺少了精妙的多层反转，只是在开车。警察在片中只是道具。
喂喂喂，把那袋钱放下来，说的就是你，这台车所有东西都是证据。
十几年前的原版剧情挺抓人的，用狂暴视听来包装的话，完全不着调
爆炸爆炸爆炸，飙车加爆炸，剧情结构其实不算新鲜，最后人性光辉照亮社会黑暗的童话再现，脏钱奖励圣母。但是从画面来说，似乎贝贝同志刚上手无人机，对此非常感兴趣，有点过分使用的感觉。片中引用了一些迈尔克贝前作的台词，致敬自己。（做实验性癌症治疗，并不是治愈的意思……T.T），奇怪的bug也不少，不过比变形金刚少。
总之，这辆🚑好玩呢。

一开始没啥期待，觉得就是好莱坞一般的流水线动作片，没想到是爆炸贝几年没新片牟足劲拍出来的，而且我发现很多镜头以前很罕见，查了一下发现是用穿越机拍出来的，影院体验真的拉满。感觉是近一年最有爆米花感觉的电影，而且节奏控制得当，完全没有疲劳的感觉，人物也在推进中刻画清晰了。真的是意外地好看。

开头和中间有一段有些无聊，两个多小时真没必要，完全可以压缩到90分钟内。香港的一些抢劫片都拍得比这个好。要不是为了看吉吉，我也不会在腾讯花4块钱买……
