The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 可能是先入为主还是怎样,挺喜欢王大爷的综艺表现的,所以想看看。开始就很莫名其妙,剧情也没怎么理顺,后来想可能是无厘头,但是笑点真的没怎么get到,一直还期待一些反转,直到包贝尔出现,半个多小时了,就真的很神了。看来没什么希望了,只能溜了溜了。
感情戏份,由一把小黄伞引起的暗恋故事,成为了主角最后的救赎,静物化人后的吐槽,无一不是因常年累月的陪伴,遭雷劈是因为“不向善”,因果律。
很好看。前面铺垫会有点乏味,要有耐心看。
男女主童年一伞之交,兜兜转转又相识相知的桥段真是百看不厌,有人一起遮风挡雨真好
创意不错,挺有看点,有几处拍的很欢乐,最后还升华了一下,结局也蛮不错的。
脑洞是挺大的,最后花妞的反转也比较有意思,居然是条边牧……整部电影最令我喜欢的就是狗狗跑去帮男主然后被子弹击中的时候,果然狗狗就是最棒的~~

做坏人一定要够坏才行,不伦不类的,不会有好结果
什么乱七八糟的?!无厘头和黑色幽默不是这么拍的导演,要不是为了见见映后的主创,真的有直接走的冲动,看的越久,冲动越大!

轻松愉悦就完事,推荐观看。毕竟除了幻想、搞笑,还有梦想,九亿少女的梦!当然,我最喜欢的设定是爱情拯救了人生,又没有完全圆满。
集中隔离第一个晚上看的电影,除了女主都还可以吧
导演组不会因为请了包贝尔可以增加喜剧氛围感吧,不会吧不会吧?这部电影因为别的演员还能值得两三星,因为有了包贝尔,负一万分滚滚滚滚滚。
