The IMAX "Cosmic Voyage" film was made as a public service with sponsorship by the Smithsonian Air and Space museum. On DVD, borrowed from my local public library, it plays at just over 30 minutes with Morgan Freeman supplying a pleasing narrative. As one would expect from an IMAX film, the image quality is superb and the Dolby 5.1 sound track is very well done. Simulated cosmic explosions shake your walls! That is, if you have a good powered subwoofer in your system. The film takes a very useful approach to examining the size of the universe, from tiny sub-atomic particles to the vastness of the whole universe. (Fortunately, when God created the Universe he had dispatched a few angels with video cameras at different vantage points so we get to see actual footage from several billion years ago.) The film starts in Venice, where the discovery of the telescope originated, and uses a one-meter hoop as a reference point, then gradually goes larger by powers of 10, e.g. 10 meters, 100, 1000, etc until we can see the whole universe. Then it takes the opposite journey, going smaller by powers of 10 until be see inside sub-atomic particles. The story is well-woven with beautiful effects created especially for this film. It is entertaining and educational at the same time. All of "oldsters" can enjoy it for the scientific history we are already familiar with, and all the "youngsters" can enjoy it for the educational supplement it provides. Overall a masterful film. Any numerical "rating" of "Cosmic Voyage" is meaningless. If one is looking for a superb film about our universe and modern theories of its formation, this one is hard to beat. 出资源了，赶紧看了。现在最可悲的不是青少年以为亨弗莱鲍嘉是pornstar，而是根本就没有人认识亨弗莱鲍嘉。这部电影并不只是拍给凯奇影迷的，它献给所有热爱电影的人，献给知道什么是诺博士的人。

这是一部献给尼古拉斯凯奇影迷，粉丝的鸡汤！为了近些年那些烂片，给影迷的一个解释，一个道歉，一个自我救赎的方式吧！
台词好几次说他又回来了，尼古拉斯凯奇总要接一句，从没过气过。[哈哈]但他要重回巅峰谈何容易，靠这一部电影肯定不行，但至少他回到主流制作了吧，其实他去年主演的《猪》就相当不错了，算一个好的开始。
凯奇粉丝应该会有很多回忆点，翻身翻了这么多年也算翻了半截了。
凯奇扮演凯奇致敬自己演过的动作片，设定有趣。电影内容一般般
感觉这几年只要尼古拉斯·凯奇的作品出来就会有人吹“翻身之作”，《疯狂父母》吹过，《曼蒂》吹过，《猪》也吹过，连《脏话史》都吹过，如今又轮到这部电影了。话说回来，凯奇要真的靠这部电影翻身，那是他的运气也是好莱坞的悲哀，这片子要说差也不差，但要说好也不至于，它和那些拉到欧洲的喜剧动作片没多大区别，也许真的是对凯奇降低了期待值，才会觉得这部电影还行吧。
nick取枪时候，出现三重的映像，蜡像，蜡像橱窗映射的侧像，投影到蜡像的正面像，分别代表着nick的银幕角色，人们以为的真实的nick，以及不被了解的nick。最后一个nick也许最不被人知，却最真实，很可惜这部电影没能反映出最后一个。讲述一个大家以为的故事。
凯奇太适合这种自我指涉的主题了。虽然故事上有不少巧思和有趣的设计，但影片整体又很显然宥于导演的能力，没能更进一步拍出凯奇的复杂性和“传奇”。我是在期待20世代的《艾德伍德》嘛？

Cagexploitation. Messing around is OK. But the final act is fucking stupid and cringe like hell. They break the character.
凯奇演的根本不是他自己，只是一个叫尼古拉斯凯奇的明星罢了。除去跟他本身有关的电影梗，其余的就是一个平平无奇的犯罪喜剧。
