The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 爆米花电影，看着玩吧，就是惊讶于桑德拉布洛克这么大年纪了，还能出演这种角色，也没有特别违和。哈哈

在大约26小时没睡觉并且喝下了大约3L啤酒的情况下，这部片子还是可以的啦
蛋妞是直接从惊天魔盗团2穿越过来的吧；剧情好拉胯；两颗星分别给钱宁的左屁股和右屁股。
为啥现在什么片子都做的那么长...看的好累啊，前面半部，有布拉德皮特的那段还挺有意思的。
整部电影搞笑不搞笑，迷幻不迷幻，悬疑不悬疑，探险不探险，动作不动作，爱情不爱情。莫名其妙。
布拉德皮特戏份全在预告里了。真叫个全是算法，没有感情。大数据爱情片，比动作片还要惨烈。这么多明星好像都没有一个人走心。看在前面还能笑出来两声就两星好惹。
这种无脑丛林动作冒险片好像近两年挺多，看睡了两起，就像是主题乐园的游戏任务。最大感慨是桑德拉·布洛克竟然58了！

终于不是老男配少女的传统组合套路了，Sandy姐牛掰。但是电影真的不行。
前半还是有点搞笑在身上，后半太过言小。突然的卖肉福利……略尴尬。
所有人都好像心不在焉的推进着主线，是我的笑点。
情节空洞，表演滑稽，比查宁在桑德拉·布洛克面前晒鸟还尴尬
很老套很怀旧，前半段真的蛮搞笑，后半段则是毫无悬念、难度极低的解密落险逃生。桑德拉阿姨的肉毒打得很有技巧，和钱老板轻轻松松把钱赚。
看过这个片就更深刻的体会到当年木乃伊有多经典。
格式都对但就是不再有惊喜和乐趣。这就是此类型现在的困局。桑德拉真就演这种驾轻就熟，保有魅力。
幸亏没花钱去电影院看，没啥意思。丹尼尔演的这个角色，好像跟他在惊天魔盗团里演的反派是同类型的诶。皮特老了也还是帅，哈哈。
