本片作为《后窗》在大数据时代的一个翻版。在双向全景敞视的窥视下，公寓里的私人空间向着公共空间拓展，而疫情之下的封城和禁闭则加强了这种窥探。但索德伯格并非着重于此，而是借以隐喻技术全景式的监控。通过KIMI安置/侵入私人领域，形成了一种更为隐匿的监视，而背后的监听者和管理者是始终在场的，但其同样也处于这个网络之下。因而这种监视更像是一种层级监视，整个社会系统俨然是一个巨大的摄像头。与《后窗》类似，尽管监听者采取了道德行动，转化为监听程序中的一个能动的节点，但更值得考虑的是，技术物本身的道德能动性是否早已复合于人的行动之中。

前半段在房间中与智能音箱的互动可圈可点，后半段的猫鼠游戏、暴力反击就没啥新意了，角色们的表现匪夷所思、乏善可陈。女主角的造型和长相很奇葩。
