The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 电影情节很简单，但是接地气的演绎和潮汕风情还是很打动人，而且在相对轻松的叙事里把要表达的观点和地方特有人文都展示得很好。素人演员总是具备任何演技不可企及的细节，妈妈、爸爸真实，奶奶成了搞笑和开明担当。突然觉得和大鹏的“吉祥如意＂可以对照着看。
意外的挺好看，拍得挺真实的，有些点很有共鸣，happy ending也挺好的，希望真实中的有情人也能终成眷属，唯一的不足是妈妈思想转化铺垫有点不够，对比反对时激烈的情感，后有点突然就想开了的感觉，要是这个转变能在铺开一点就好了。
主角某些角度太像粤语科普博主第二号人物了，但是细看又挺仁科的
很棒的小成本电影。导演拍的很耐心也很真诚，扎扎实实讲述了一个温暖的家庭故事。丰富的潮汕元素藏着导演对家乡满满的爱，泽凯妈妈的扮演者应该有个影后的！
