A brilliant and outragously funny satire of society, 7 December 1999

"Flodder" is one of the funniest movies ever made and few people realise that it is a Dutch movie made by none other than the Holland version of John Carpenter, the famous Dick Maas, author and director of the thriller "Amsterdamned". The Flodder family is the reincarnation of the term a-social. When the whole family bunch, basically all bastards, criminals and sluts must be relocated from their City slum because of toxic waste under their house, the city council house no choice. The only available space is in the "Zoendal" - the "Sun Valley" the best area in Amsterdam where all doctors, snobs and businessmen can afford to live their lives. And where the central point of interest and politics is the tennis club of the community. The Flodder family brings devastation to the tranquil world that ruled before. They are simply unbelievable. The characterisation is incredibly funny, beginning with Ma Flodder who searches other people's trash cans for food or making illegal liquor in her cellar and ending with the eldest daughter who is the biggest slut on earth. Together they make the most horrible family imaginable, a sort of immoral mirror image to the Brady Bunch or the Waltons. When the City counsel of Amsterdam hoped that the Flodders would show their good will to be more civilised in their new area, it turns out that Holland's most famous family would rather bring out the worst in the rich people of "Sun Valley"-wonderland. The rest is a hilarious, brilliant and well made social satire that can be watched as a provocative movie as well as a straightforward comedy. Dick Maas at his best. I salute him! Flooder was the Dutch smash hit in 1986 and brought two sequels and a tv series. All of the sequels were nice but not as great as the original.

Why is First Floor Features, the producer of the movie not bringing the Dick Maas blockbusters out on DVD in the Netherlands, I wonder. The are not even available on video there. These movies have so much potential, still to this day and have a huge silent but true following.
把中年、小生活、上海的好，全都甜甜黏黏的说出来了。
结尾也挺有意思的，浪漫至死，但是感觉有点虚，可能我还是不够浪漫。
说你不贴近生活吧，把字打出来又删掉，看到别人给点的赞立刻心花怒放，这事我都干过。说你贴近生活吧，一个大老头子，天天去喝奶茶，就算是上海老头子也跟开玩笑似的。

徐峥说过：“我很想拍这么一部纯沪语的上海电影，并不是因为上海话有什么优势，而是因为这么本土，这么有特色的东西，它值得一个记录”。真希望成都有朝一日也能有这样的电影

如此纯熟自然的轻喜剧，对现代两性关系做了恰到好处的典型化，成熟得不像是一个非科班出身导演的处女作
要素过多。。健身不练腿 早晚要后悔 非礼你看不下去切了个bgm是M83吗？？
感觉这剧本是坂元裕二写出来的，当然还有这北电戏文专业练就的会写段子的伶牙俐齿。最后的镜头挺好，最让人感动的老乌的故事感觉像是“青年破处”版广岛之恋。
映后看了一个采访导演
曾经在安福路附近住了很多年。每周末去跑步，上瑜伽课。想念那些漂亮的老洋房和梧桐树，湖南路上看起来贵气又神秘的兴国宾馆，每隔一段时间就会倒闭换招牌的精致的咖啡店，随便走走就会遇见的巴金故居。再走走还有华山医院漂亮的小花园和上海图书馆。晚上下班时延安高架两边的夜景，遍布街角的明亮温暖又干净整齐的24小时便利店的窗口，相熟的早餐铺水果摊和菜场的阿姨。想念上海话，想念总是被人称作“小姑娘”然后被碎碎念。太多了。一遍一遍地爱上上海的瞬间。
真的是有独特气质了，有点喜欢，像是某种话唠片的本土化变体，很好笑底色又没那么丧。戏里戏外都在询问你愿不愿意相信这个爱情神话，简单的小美好了。好喜欢这几个演员啊～
配乐和台词都很认真花心思了
爱情神话，虽然是对老电影的引用，但更主要像个免责声明。真实生活如此沉重，你就允许我在电影里飞一把吧。能接受电影里的特工穿过枪林弹雨而毫发无伤，为何不能接受电影里的普通人能够富足、相爱、拥有一生的朋友，你不相信也行，我都说了是神话了。导演放低姿态的自嘲、谁都不得罪的小心翼翼可能不必。老乌是真实的（影子）男主，爱情神话的真实持有者，用自己的一生携带它，最后终于捧到所有人面前，然后死去。导演很年轻，这种题材如果往扎实地气的方向去做，对于导演肯定是超纲的，导演已经尽最大努力发挥自己并不那么充足的“上海经验”，其余用审美与想像力补足，亦实亦虚的处理，既是讨巧，也是扬长避短。就像Gloria不肯花两万五救老公，却肯花两万五“嫖”老白，导演并不完全坐实任何一段人物背景。这其实挺好，先不被捆住手脚比较重要。
就因为这部电影
难得看到国产片的对话这么机灵。这东一棒槌西一锄头的，愣是把生活凿开了呐。
把“对华裔的偏见+刻板印象”神不知鬼不觉置换成“青春期的成长烦恼+母女冲突”并使之正当化。全片构建了一个略显阴森、压抑、失常的华裔母系社会：女儿是社交网络里的脑残粉+literal freak，母亲是电视新闻里的虎妈，家族长辈女性是旧社会题材小说里的七大姑八大姨。她们每个人都在drama地扮演着自己的群体，一脉相承的是有毒的母性，本质是失格的演出。仔细想了想，《魔法满屋》也是这个套路。怎么，一旦涉及到minority女性主角，如今的迪士尼皮克斯不刻意拉踩不捏造矛盾就不会讲故事了？以及，在这部片里别的ethnic group往往以被华裔迫害者or无私爱心人士的设定出现，即使是主角的神仙闺蜜们也不免曾被她的“自私和无理”所伤害。一路看下来非常不舒服。两星全给技术。
和《心灵奇旅》一样是一部共情力超强的作品，抛开了奇幻的设定，我们看到的是真实的人物，真实的情感、真实的烦恼，笑中带泪的青春。片中的母女情可以看成是《包宝宝》的变种，不过显得没有这么刻板印象，我也相信就算是欧美国家也会有这样的亲子关系，而最后的和解格外打动人，和《魔法满屋》一样非常值得和父母一起观看。另外，小胖闺女和大红熊猫真的是无敌可爱，无法拒绝！
竹林里年少的Ming的哭诉看得我感同身受，东亚小孩大多这样：压抑地度过挣扎的青春期，然后用漫长的一生与只能做个碌碌无为普通人的自己和解。实现不了自己的理想，更无法满足他人的期望。所以，管他呢，就活这么一辈子爱怎么来就怎么来呗！可以把小熊猫封印到拓麻歌子也可以任其自由形态恣意生长，只要坚定自己的内心，我们都会成为更好的人（至少是在自己眼中）
年度真香！感觉二十年后会成为甲方乙方一样的经典。BGM临街杂货店咖啡馆《红拂夜奔》各种梗好评！紫发马伊琍有点像千fa！白老师还真的有点魅力！&导演太聪明了，竟然是91年的！最后很多泪点真的是中年人的泪点（。）
