The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 拍到最后，东木终于卸下了悲情的重担，不再执着于构筑宏大的情感体验，没有制造英雄也完全不是童话，冲突依然没有被化解，人生也少不了妥协，他就这么通透克制地拍了一部现代西部片，在我看来，电影在拾起了早期西部片特质的同时又有了进一步的演进，什么心境就是什么电影，毫无保留。【2021十佳No.4】

这种老人+动物+小男孩成长的中成本制作在十年前还是迪士尼最拿手的题材，而如今却只有东木能拍得出来了。相较10年代后期的几部片，本片对于东木来说确实算是信手拈来的小品，但依然温柔如故

所以为什么不拍成剧集呢？感觉那样还可以拍更多
看完感觉最合适的译名是《哭着喊着要当汉子》，潜台词是“然后呢？呵呵”。不过老头儿拍片不苛演员演技的问题又犯了，小演员这演技有点尬，不敢恭维，不忍苛责。
东木此片是没有好好打磨啊，没有什么冲突，就是单纯的老爷车展了

这次片子在人设一致的情况下，对于音乐这一块着笔是浓墨重彩的，有点意思。
话说亚当斯的剧情不是一直都没啥新奇的吗，动作和场景的小细节设计才是亚当斯好玩的地方啊，在喷什么

迟暮的东木，依旧怀着英雄式的温柔，角色很平，故事也不够新。
颜色太多了，一点都不亚当斯，比第一部差很多，比真人版差更多
