The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 1:1，纯黑白，影帝影后，莎士比亚…比起电影更像是一场两小时的舞台剧，只不过呈现方式是大导演的视角…
（4.4/10）乔尔·科恩的《麦克白的悲剧》是对莎士比亚戏剧一次极具风格化的影像呈现，仅此而已。
极简服化道，剩下的就全是细节和特写，相当托华盛顿和科恩嫂的表演。他们完成地非常出色。连女巫都演得出彩。相较之下，演麦克迪夫的黑人演员很逊。
如果只是把莎翁的剧本一板一眼影像化而没有呈现什么新的东西，那这样的电影又有什么看的必要呢，唯有享受台词以及两位主角的表演了吧。7/10
风格有点过于混搭了，又还是somehow make sense
舞台劇的獨白，雖是黑白但是每幀都能感受到畫面帶來的鮮明感！每位演員的演技可以說是相當在線，整個佈景也是相當了得。
相比15版麦克白逊色不少，戏剧般的形式感和黑白并没有加分，最重要的内心情感戏也是一带而过，不知道在拍些什么……

极简的影像后面是乏味化，摄影很好，莎翁的对白听一次有一次新的感受。
嗯……其实并不理解，选择这种形式，为何又选择这些演员？

照搬罢了，即使配上了顶级的演员和绝妙的摄影，精巧的置景，这依然是照搬。

还挺希望乔尔大胆改一下的。可惜本质上是旧剧场的。转场的手段有意无意地强化了段落感，人物的出现和退场也都被严密安排。调度执拗（僵硬）到甚至像能读到剧本一般：“地点，城堡。麦克白上。与大臣争吵。下。”所以只能看到场景，而难以形成情境。几乎是一个步调，没有强弱，缺乏变奏。视觉是好看的，像不断翻新的舞台布景。但极致形式的背面，是情感的虚无。于是注定会缺乏宿命感：过分冷漠从来不是悲剧的根源，过分的渴望才是。
影像风格上极力靠近上世纪电影的质感，摄影构图、布景有点布列松极简主义的味道，两位老戏骨台词功力无可挑剔，算是众多改编版本中比较出彩的一部。
