The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 麻花擅长的喜剧模式和正剧电影模式之间融合的产物，融合度不高，因此有点两头不讨好。

搞笑其实只是这部电影最不值一提的部分。
如果说笑点制造的差强人意，那泪点真是让人大失所望，根本氛围就没烘托到位，就开始强行煽情，最后导致只有演员自己被自己感动哭了，观众内心毫无波动；可能是前期宣发太到位导致期待值有些高了；不过除了谐音梗以外，有些笑点还是挺大胆的，比如如何“说服”民众信服组织，确实还是笑的比较过瘾的，后半段逐渐拉垮了……
中国太缺科幻片了，这不是就是1997年我们看独立日时的感觉吗？那时候多希望有自己的中二科幻片呀，真羡慕今天的年轻朋友。
沈腾版流浪月球，本片最大看点最大笑点沈叔叔，沈腾yyds！！金刚鼠拉车那一段好浪漫，本片我最爱的一段。永远爱电影院的音效，这部bgm也很不错，坐在电影院真的能被音乐完美拉入其中，这是在家看和在手机看都不能拥有的感受。确实有少部分煽情稍微过头，但是瑕不掩瑜，可以一看。
切。。。果不出我所料，月盾计划、陨石撞击、地球废土科幻、全球直播、和袋鼠的插科打诨、观众的观看反应、维修工对指令长的爱恋……一通走马观花式地堆给观众，唯独跟“独行”没一点关系；至于喜剧，基本可以断定，开心麻花连它们过去引以为傲的小品式的搞笑手段也已经到了即将枯竭的地步。我们还嘲笑好莱坞缺乏原创只投上亿美金大IP，未来加点成本包装成大片整它个几十亿的不是容易得很，春节档那什么“不太冷静”的什么片都能26亿，这个我是丝毫不怀疑的。
基本算是扑街了，完全不遵守公理的超软科幻，生硬的煽情一轮接一轮，尴尬的包袱简直让人坐如针毡。country roud在本片播放了不下5次，在如今这个时机出现确实值得玩味，隐隐约约的暧昧，这歌到底是导演选的还是z宣部选的？
7、唯一的优点，就是不像某京的某片，搞什么大国沙文主义那套。并且又认清并取关了部分拿钱影评人～
对比马特达蒙的《火星救援》明显可以感受到，个人的生命与价值在中国人的观念里多么不重要。

我本来是来看喜剧的，结果哭掉了所有粉底液。东方式的英雄永远是牺牲自我拯救他人的。

笑点大多比较尴尬，煽情过多，科幻喜剧的尝试是大胆的，但最后呈现出的效果有点四不像，不过特效做的确实可以，应该投了不少钱。
最后还缝了个迪迦是我妹想到的
如坐针毡，如芒刺背，如鲠在喉啊，如果不和我说这是喜剧电影，也不会报这么大期待，看了一半了，愣是一点没笑出来，这好评都哪里买的啊…
电影本身完成度还行。就是都已经上太空了，就别搞那么多的恶俗喜剧了吧，有几处比较明显的口型没对上，都快贴到演员嘴上了，就不能上点心吗？
建议给葫芦丝儿颁一个最佳配音演员奖，笑死了，上来给袋鼠配了一句话，乍一听还挺有内意思，就是物种不太对劲哈哈哈哈
