The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 比想象中好。主角和巨大无比的大boss视觉上的对比非常震撼，就像佛祖手里的孙悟空一样；美术不错，金属质感的细线看起来很高端大气；特效有时候很糙但不出戏；导演风格还是在的。单这一部来说还算可以自圆其说，但放在漫威宇宙就很奇怪了，上天入地的，主题太宏大了。
看完《永恒族》之后，我倒是没有察觉到很多国内评论所说的导演赵婷对于《西游记》故事的参照和指涉，更多地感觉到这部漫威新序列的作品倒是没有那么差，但是我们也的确能感到导演所尝试的努力以及在商业和艺术之间左右摇摆的无力。《永恒族》首先是不同于以往的漫威电影的，它拥有更慢的节奏和对人物个更细腻地刻画，但同时它也摆脱不掉漫威电影的娱乐属性，并且散发出一种难以掩饰的过于”政治正确”的命题作文一般的感觉。《永恒族》是对于超级英雄电影一种新的尝试，只不过我们很难说它是成功的。
影像风格很赖看，节奏缓慢，因此给予了观者更多的思考空间。

老塔说过：当一个导演说他要拍一部容易通过的电影，以便为他梦想中的电影积聚力量，他只是在骗人，或者更甚，是自我欺骗。他再也拍不出自己的电影了！

对CZ而言作业算是过及格线了但问题真不是一点一滴而是密密麻麻。1，最初的编剧表兄弟二人是怎么靠几乎零经验拿到这么大项目的？好奇哈。2，CZ加入之后带上了自己手笔，还有加了犹如美剧剧本规定一样的各色非白肤演员，白男多少都吃不消这种2亿成本爽片无high点的写法吧～3，真替gemma chan和亚裔高兴，首次有亚裔女主救地球，耶。4，一众演员都好成这样偶尔还有小的指导问题，白送分啊！5，缺点们：配乐像是被减了经费，或者有人不常听音乐？重要的决定结尾的爱情戏份总共就3/4幕，五千年好歹多几个场景不要总回闪同样的？剧情总体节奏过慢，而且不停幼儿园…我也是忍啊忍，怪兽戏份刚让人觉得有意思，就嘎然掐死…我…有几个还没死的人物也没有写好，无法理解…哎…就这样吧无论怎样，亚裔被抬起都是好事，但千万别摔着～
赵婷也是挺不容易，被凯文·费奇挖去漫威拍大片，结果一上手就是这样一部零观众基础的群像起源片。滚导拍GotG，不说没这么多人，本来走的也是妥妥的B级片路子，流行文化方面把握起来也相对容易；赵婷呢，直接就上MCU从来没有过的epic，时间线横跨几千年，不仅不像传统超英片，分明是都是历史神话片了。可算给凯文·费奇坑了一手。估计她自己拍的时候也力有不逮，然后还得面对story编剧对“反思历史”的绵绵执念（screenplay当然其实也很差劲了），想想能有现在这个呈现也不好多责难什么，毕竟是尼尔·盖曼也没能救活的IP。就是不知道杰克·科比看了会怎么想，片尾字幕说是改编自comics by Jack Kirby，结果剧情里全部用的是Alex Ross和Jim Krueger的Earth-9997永恒族设定，致敬杰克·科比的地方还不如塔导的雷神电影多……
实在找不到其他的溢美之词，就是字面意思，真的找不到，顶多就是场景宏大吧，特效还行，怎么说呢，有点《变形金刚5》的意思。。感觉自从被迪士尼收购以及满屏的zzzq算是彻底把漫威宇宙毁了，就这吧。如尚气真的。累了毁灭把。
皱皱巴巴的文艺片，冗长无趣，甚至连故事高潮都没有，但确实是漫威电影里面很独树一帜的风格，但很可惜，讲述的很散很乱。
确实跟之前的漫威电影不同，但赵婷的风格并没有很好的融入这部电影，使得两头都靠不上，在观看的过程中感觉很别扭
原本因为赵ting 跟马东锡还挺期待的，结果…这是什么玩意… 怪不得连抖音3分钟剪辑号都不剪这部片… 太难看了😂

我果然无法看任何英雄系列电影，只想咆哮到底看了个什么东西！而且这么政治正确，太烦人了。送一星给里面那些有时代感的笑话。20220213

看完彩蛋想着：这片赶紧出续集，别太多就行。
超级英雄这种商业片，既拍出可看性又拍出深度，不是没可能的，诺兰拍蝙蝠侠就做到了。//从人物配置黑白黄棕皮肤占全，聋哑人也要照顾的组合，就可看出基调：什么都要正确。这等于基本上就完蛋了。//最后想说：爹味实在太重。
