The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 透着点不道德，结尾有点勉强，感觉这种恋爱也不是过日子那种的长久，而且男主还一脸猥琐的笑，女主的灵气并不适合演这种片吧。
孙锡久很迷人，但电影确实很一般，有点无聊。
质量上乘的爱情糖水片，男女主为什么质感都这么高级！几场对话戏我愿意单独拿出来给颁奖。而且“只要性不轻易谈爱”以及背后遮蔽的“爱无能”情爱观也真的又当代又普遍。好想认识小导演！

和具氏完全不一样，像是会摇尾巴的大狗狗，孙锡久啊我的做梦素材。
太短了太快了能再长一点就好了，典型的fwb的故事，还是燃烧的女主
7分，当然不值四星的，非常像十几年前的韩国爱情电影，结局很无聊，但是全钟瑞太漂亮了，一直觉得孙锡久好像性感版曹承佑哈哈哈哈哈，最喜欢酒馆那场戏。

如果最后男女主角不是he，就在女主让男主社死之后截然而止，就能再加一星。
导演是玩了个概念差，这不叫恋爱叫什么呢？陪伴、珍惜、付出、快乐、痛苦，所以，这也是提给观者的问题吧，这算是爱情吗？逼叨逼叨+只露出光脚的“尺度”，电影这是在撩观众啊。

3.5，老套的先炮后爱都市男女情爱小品，但是孙锡久完全泰普！太迷人了！最重要的是只拍了一个半小时，太有自知之明了！

干巴巴的，说了一千遍的老话题，关于性和爱。找了两个演技应该还算靠谱的演员，就搞了个小菜，还没放调味料。
剧本比较套路，但是男女主化学反应超棒。醉醺醺的孙锡久很讨喜！

完全因为最近对孙锡久的疯狂迷恋以及刚刚获得的百想电影剧本奖（获奖好意外），不算太有新意的片子，轻松喜剧，快进看完。女主状态放松而且拍的很美，男主次之，导演稍弱。
为了看孙锡久，但远不及剧集给我的冲击大。 女主很妙，很漂亮很会穿很直接又很爽快的性格，片子还是走的小情调路子，说是缺席恋爱其实是做尽恋人之事只是嘴硬而已。两个人的互动还是好看的。
