The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 没有了大表哥，片子的可看性下降了一半不止……情节转折和进入都太快了，比如导演莫名其妙就突然上头，像把电视剧调成了三倍速的效果。服化道也不如电视剧版。
作为追了多年的老粉，只要看到这一群人，就已经分外满足了。

三星纯感情分，其实和电视剧没区别，为了熬出点电影感，硬是把一条主线安排成拍摄有声电影，大小姐居然成了英国的有村架纯😅 既然大部分演员都还健在，不如继续拍电视剧吧。
老钱们带着历史的积淀始终从容优雅，但也无法躲过历史的滚滚车轮，看似体面的大宅子楼顶用塑料盆接水，死亡悄然降临；默剧时代的红人们害怕有声时代的到来，在银幕前露怯的声音在现实生活里拼命掩饰，转化成肢体与行动上的利剑去伤害更弱小的人们，在最后的大美满里感受到了一丝丝的无聊，但还是为唐家屯所温暖。（托马斯的戏份被删减，所以最后的离开显得如此突兀，2022年审查的忧伤）

出场人物不少，每个都有自己的特点。服饰、发饰都十分精致。尤其室内的装饰，很奢华，很英伦。
所有的记忆都飘向了第一部上映的2019年，当时还是在香港看的，被粤语翻译的各种人名搞到头大。转眼，真应了A New Era，戏里戏外都在告别。
一开篇眼泪就下来了，我宣布理想国唐家屯永远是我最爱的电视剧。
想不到比“新潮旧梦砥故园”更好的词句来形容。奶奶那句“I can't hear myself die”戳心到感觉自己心跳瞬间停住。
每次看唐顿，看到所有人都能拥抱充满希望的新生活，迈入柳暗花明的新纪元，每个人都有光明的未来，作为观众特别开心。
