The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 一个黑人导演把西部有名的黑人串联起来加了一个老套的故事情节，一点毛病没有，如果全换成白人或者亚裔，也不影响观感
女主真漂亮 男主这样的golden boy我还真认识一个哈哈 很trigger
1.女主代表美利坚的年轻人为在爱情里拖拖拉拉、犹豫不决的家伙们做了一个完美的榜样与表率。2.作为现代人，对待爱情与生活态度就是应该「洒脱不矫情」。3.自以为是、自作主张、自说自话、自我感动，死要面子又满嘴谎言，这是男人们的通病。4.不顾对方的感受去做一些莫名其妙的所谓「浪漫行为」（包括但不限于在分手的前一天带你走遍每一个「第一次」：第一次吵架的冰球场，第一次表白的淡水湖，第一个情人节的披萨屋等等），这就是典型的「自己感动自己」。5.结局有减分（分了就分了，强行安排的「再次见面」真没必要）。6.舔狗舔狗，一无所有。7.这女主的侧颜，也太像艾玛沃特森了。
配乐怎么都值2星，故事+反转1星，画面质感1星，爽感1星，但有种怪怪说不出的感觉扣1星，总体给4星，看完决不会感觉浪费了时间
第一天看了不到一半睡着了，第二天剩下一半快进着看完的…真心一般
要不是分数过于惨不忍睹，我就给两星了……剧情简单直接。虽说近100分钟的片长，实则没讲什么东西，比第一部差远了。两个反派很不错，毒液和艾迪的嘴炮就像是小学生吵架。总结，节奏太快剧情无脑慎看。
烂俗爱情片配不上塔莉亚莱德的颜值，小姐姐还是多去接独立电影吧

花钱不错，剧情一般，竟然还有两个多小时，标准看完就忘的类型，西部肥皂剧。
姑娘真正，男孩真搓，他俩玩的那座山真的好美啊啊，我以后也要找个类似的去玩
两星半，不算特别差，但无解构、无反讽、无表达、甚至都没有丝毫创新，照着最老套过时的白人故事重新拍了一遍，有什么意义呢？
有一些好设计但是节奏实在太灾难了，不敢相信是21年的电影，我寻思Nat和Buck看着也不像差辈的兄弟啊？而且外景搭得好假，怎么那么新。
ps：女主的颜值真是打在我审美点上，爱了！
评分为什么这么低。内涵、剧情，动作，应有尽有，唯一不合理的就是玛丽送人头的设定太有悖常理，减分太多吧。
有一个很出戏的感受，为什么同样的那个年代的西部片，你们的小镇却看起来新的跟2021年建的一样？
剧情就没有什么剧情了 装逼装的还可以所以值三颗星
最后带点反转，不就是大反派竟然和主角同母异父，但也算是挺简单的一个复仇故事，却拍了两个多钟头！耍酷时间较长，主角的光环过于强大，团队不是快枪手就是狙击手，一枪消灭一个敌人，盒饭们不堪一击！
