The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 前面半个小时节奏慢死，后面还好些，但整体拉胯！
几个主演都比较hold得住节奏。不过结尾两人一伙的？？？有点莫名其妙
故事很拉跨，枪战勉强有点看头，巴特勒还是不要勉强文戏了。如果以为能看到《血战13号警署》请谨慎观看。

骗子，杀手，黑警，疯子，好久没看到这种犬牙交错黑吃黑的爽片了，不过这种爽是建立在整体行业内卷标准随之降低的当下大背景上的，也无法要求太多了，再，有些黑色喜点真的可以
前面还不错，角色不停变换。动作戏也蛮好看。最后的反转反转太刻意了。优缺点都明显，所以大多数人都打三星吧。
下一部怕是就要讲苏联和纳粹如何发动二战了吧？呵呵，等三年后美国死了，我们一定要把这个锅给美国来背，包括奥斯维辛集中营，都要说成是他们协助纳粹建的（说不定还真的是呢）
这剧拍得有点不符合逻辑？警察局里面坐着个陌生人，几个警察躺在地上，刚进门的警察居然不掏枪还问陌生人你谁啊？陌生人在警察局里面杀警察像在闹着玩，边嘻哈边杀人。。。。。。
我为这电影恶臭的意识形态和价值观感到恶心。。。列宁都成了反派，为了保住王位，真的啥价值观都可以接受，不行，我这接受共产主义熏陶的人决不允许万恶的封建势力割我的韭菜！！愚蠢至极的片子，就连剧情都让人乏味作呕，最后成了为了让人死而安排死的烂俗狗血剧情，和美国末日2让乔尔死掉有异曲同工之妙。。
说是已经通知了外面的警察，然后，第一个第二个到的是救火车，呵呵。别看这里的家伙们很差劲，一夜之间几乎被全灭，看起来夸张不可能，其实，对于大洋对面来说，有人一把刀都可以做到，同样让家伙们心惊胆颤，扬名世界，青史留名，没啥特别的，专门拍个枪战片就弱了。
如果没有熊孩子剧情线，纯恶搞或许能好看点。彩蛋算是德国影人聚会吗？八月也不像列宁吧，casting过于神奇了。还有如果说DB演的是泽莫我也信。
英国人拍戏比美国人还是有点文化的，把一堆历史梗串起来，还穿插探讨了战争片的拍法。用心了。在美国电影绝大多数沦为样板戏和廉价玩笑的今天，给个5星支持。
女主真是又丑又菜又装 这种小成本电影节奏拖得这么长 何必呢

很娱乐的片子，虽然不想太纠结情节逻辑，但是结尾女主开急救车🚑那一幕我感觉有点多余。
总结：警察很废（除了女的），杀手很无厘头，枪战很燥，坏人很惨（除了陷落先生），米国很黑（非戏谑之语）。
密闭空间里能做出的张力都做出来了，够血腥也够暴力，如果不要那些闪回和警局以外的镜头就更喜欢了
确实相当相当平庸，一会儿刺杀一会儿打仗，节奏混乱，一般这种父子戏，咱都想着应该是儿子成长吧，嘿！主角还是爹！连王牌特工最拿得出手的装逼戏都没有。至于最后黑列宁黑苏联，我倒是完全无所谓，why so serious？是吧！
小场景的多方对峙警匪片，开局还不错，可惜20分钟后期待开始逐渐消减了，不到一小时第四方反派出现后迅速变为无趣。多方关系拉得一点都不紧绷，三个主角感觉像在玩一样，靠说一些无关紧要的骚话来侧面衬托专业素质这种做法真的一点都不专业，只有一种试图营造运筹帷幄却沦为明晃晃的主角光环既视感。第四个老头杀手更是脸谱化到极点，我的理解是导演想塑造一个小丑型的戏谑混乱反派，只能恭喜导演倒是塑造了一个真正的小丑吧。整部片的后半段就是看几个角色无限装逼，然而装得又缺乏魅力，即便是从装逼、中二这单方面来看，都不及格。
就是玩儿，剧情铺排比较懒散随便，但只要吃马修沃恩那一套的就不会觉得太难看，比如我纯粹就是来看英国人开脑洞过家家以及费因斯男神耍帅的——这方面完成得还不错。其实这一部触及到很多挺有趣的话题，所谓贵族的身份责任以及一战时期欧洲各国的意识形态，但都处理得非常儿戏。这个系列的动作设计也是充满了毫无用处但深得我心的花活。
