The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 立意是好的，社会问题有人去关注是对的，通过这种方式也是迫不得已的。但是现实中女主早就被击毙一万次了，总理更不可能亲自去见她，全篇只剩下空泛的主旋律意淫…
虽然故事只能是故事
这电影早点上映就好了，「误杀2」就能套拍这部了，起码更精彩些。不行，这部主角是女性，不适合肖央。算了，让他饰演校车司机，加点戏，和女主在幼儿园里多一些互动。这样最后揭秘时给观众更大震撼。

虽然有合理的诉求，但是绑架小孩的做法不可接受，整个剧情走向都很正常，没有惊喜的地方。
对Naina的一句话印象深刻: Do we just deserve a fucking candle march? 当悲剧发生的时候，政府又做了什么呢？不负责的警察，惩罚力度欠缺的法律，对受害者的忽视，只追表面报道误导大众的媒体……
能铺垫80分钟还不知道到底要干嘛的谜面就像是先看了一集明星大侦探，还好女总理的一句“Emotions can be assets”和对性别刻板印象的反击总算让人觉得来了点劲。而那个关于强奸的谜底则在母亲的一句反问中完全揭晓，后面的紧张甚至和总理面谈的高潮也变成了可预见的补充。对印度社会问题和女性困境的直击，以及对女警察、女总理、女主播和母亲等女性角色的着力没能挽回叙事节奏的失衡。
用错误的手段来达到正义的目的，这可不值得提倡哦~
而是英语
旧人新纸十几里，黄泉知晓帝不知。面对这犹如一潭死水般的国家机器，如何才能一击做到振聋发聩？此片真是发人深省！
尽管用强劲的音乐来烘托出紧迫感，可是也很难掩盖剧情的弱智，情节拖沓就不说了，从开头就毫无逻辑，一个女人一把枪可以在有三个出口的房子里阻挡了全副武装的警察的进攻，神仙都没她厉害呢，中间还有时间各种直播，我只能说这是一部搞笑片。
还凑合吧！说实话印度电影总是拍这么长真没必要，乏了。
电影意义更重要，女总理也像傀儡，秘书都能帮她做决定🤯
绑架、要赎金、对话警察与总理，都是次要目的，是在想清楚自己不得不犯罪后，顺手做的、能多做大一点都是赚到的事情。
一到关键时刻就刷一声的突然拉镜实在是太让人出戏了。
现实中的影子太多了：被性侵的独身女性，家庭中被压榨的女性，对女性优柔寡断情绪影响工作的刻板印象，苍蝇一样的媒体，只考虑选票的政客，结局太过美好。
几种关系之间的力很巧妙，虽然刻意但都有效，也没刻意得过界。演技确实太稳了。
