The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 雖然名字叫主競賽，但卻沒啥電影節片子的調調，看似是對演藝圈光怪陸離亂象的諷刺，誇張到極致反而是對文藝工作者奉獻自我的謳歌。另外，片中三位主演都有不同程度的自我解構以及自身經歷的投射，其中班德拉斯最為出彩。最搞笑的是頭頂巨石、吻戲ASMR以及粉碎機。表演真是太棒了，從頭到尾都是大寫的Acting！
感动人心，令人心碎而打动，这就是真正的日本电影。现在日本这样感人的好电影也不是很多的比例了

很多时候，我们往往会在自己所看重的立场上附加不着边际的价值，不接受对方的立场，不考虑相对合理性，肆意地判断，用自己的主观臆断去评判一个人孰好孰坏。每个人的正义感无论走到哪里都不会脱离自以为是的范畴，所以我们就看到了《空白》中很多毫无自觉的恶意与善意。
