The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 本来主线明晰，但很多人物和情节处理上好拖沓。
对于人物，烘托人物关系的“情”不细致、容易疲倦；有人物弧光变化的，例如伍万里对于战争认识——从杀敌到战争人性，但影片强调的“英雄”概念仍在，虽然英雄肉体会亡，但精神高尚永存，最后伍千里的重新出现特别像《大路》里对于无产阶级革命者的诠释。

比第一部好很多，个人英雄主义的气息减弱不少，整体就变得更加协调。
进入水门桥正题前太无聊，重复的场面➕抒情，入不了戏。水门桥正题开始斗智斗勇很紧张刺激。几段牺牲都没有打动我，但朱亚文角色的牺牲让我动容了。

与上一部相比各有优劣，能找到些士兵突击+战狼+带动作戏的香港电影的痕迹。
我觉得比第一部好看，故事更紧凑，第一部有点散，战争节奏太快。平河最惨。

相对于第一部优秀很多，毕竟第一部是塑造人物形象，让角色立体化。这就给第二部起了很大的加成作用。

他们的牺牲是带着祖国的尊严，是“此去泉台招旧部，旌旗十万斩阎罗”，我们的安定是带着烈士的遗愿，是“王师北定中原日，家祭无忘告乃翁”，
这种电影虽说不算太拉，但终究还是不会太好。
