剧情介绍

The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances.     结尾的处理得扣分了，太潦草。其实相比性别议题，我看到的更多是导演埃德加赖特本人对这部影片的个人投射，很容易就想到几年前他被迫放弃执导《蚁人》，尽管他为那部电影的剧本投入大量的精力。本片里的Sandie同样在追逐梦想的道路上面临放弃自我，讨好恶魔的境地，像噩梦一样环绕在两个女主身边。我相信赖特依然对当初《蚁人》未能成行而耿耿于怀，这些年的魂牵梦绕，为《Soho区惊魂夜》提供了不少情感支撑。
